Neel Sankaran double majored in Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering at UC Irvine. As an undergraduate, he applied machine learning models to fluid dynamics problems, focusing on using the Fourier neural operators to solve the evolution of fluids in a constrained domain. He is currently a second-year master’s student in Electrical and Computer Engineering at UC Santa Barbara, where he works on generative large language models for time series forecasting, with an emphasis on patient glucose prediction. His research interests include dynamical systems and physics-based machine learning.
