Sid is a 4th year undergraduate at UCSB, majoring in Physics and Computing. His interests are in machine learning for physics and the connections between neural networks and statistical physics. He is currently working on building generative models for representation learning in cosmology, and for building emulators for particle in cell plasma simulations, to help resolve the complex physics of recombination near the wall of magnetic confinement fusion reactors.
