My name is Jack Shoemaker, and I am a fourth year B.S./M.S. student studying Computer Engineering at the University of California, Santa Barbara. I am passionate about fairness in machine learning and my current research specifically focuses on fairness in data encoding. In the future I strive to ensure that all facets of the machine learning pipeline maintain ethical integrity and reliability.
